How can i use RECOVERY AGENT in windows?

Q. you know that if you lose your user account in windows, then your encrypted files does not works anymore....
i want to know if i can use RECOVERY AGENT and how?

A. As far as I know you can use recovery agent in windows if you have had a virus, or some other system error. With using recovery agent you recover the settings - not the files or anything. I think you are looking for a program that discovers anything on your hard drive.

The kind of software digital investigators use. I guess you've completely lost me here so I'll explain it:
When you delete a file in windows you don't erase it - you erase the link to the file. Think of a great archive. Instead of making a drawer empty, you'll just remove the label on the drawer. And if there comes new information the pc removes just enough data from the drawer to put only the new files in. New and old are mixed. You are able to find things from years ago.

This way you should be able to get your encrypted files back, but I can't guarantee you can open them (I am not an expert on encryption). Anyhow, you'll have to search on the www with terms like "file recovery" or "data recovery".
You'll see there are websites for professionals where it cost loads of money (they'll use much more advanced techniques), but there is also freeware that is good enough for the average citizen.

Good luck!

Where in Bangalore can I find a good data recovery place for an external Seagate hard drive?
Q. Need help recovering data from a corrupt drive and see if its fixable.

A. Search the newspapers for a good recovery agent in your locality. But, it will cost you upwards of Rs. 2000.

A simple solution is to get a good recovery tool & do it yourself.
I use File Scavenger & it does a fab job & more importantly, you can use it as many times as you want & also confidential data is not seen by anyone as it is when a recovery guy fixes your HDD.

how to decript the file(which is encripted by the other user) by an administrator by using data recovery agent
Q. assume one user is encripted a improtant file and as a administrator you want to decript that file by using data recovery agent. how will you solve this problem? i need exact answers. please help me.

A. You did not tell what type of encryption was used.

Was the file something like Microsoft Word, or Excel and using those programs' own encryption? If so, then there are several services online that will decrypt a file for a small fee.

If the encryption was done using a third party package, it is hard to tell if decryption is possible.

I suggest you contact several companies with the file and encryption information - they will be able to tell you if it is possible.
