My pen drive suddenly stopped working. No computer is recognizing it. How to extract my data from it?

Q. I inserted my pen drive into usb port of my friend's computer. Computer did not recognize pen drive and it was very hot when i ejected it. After that incident i,ve tried pen drive on difeerent computers but its not being recognized. Pl help me and tell me the way to extract my data.

8gb Transcend pen drive. It is detected by most computers but now cannot be opened. What can be done?
Q. My Transcend pen drive was working fine, but now no computer (I have now tried several) can actually open it and see any of the data. Is there any way I can recover that data? I have searched various forums and amazingly I have found no answer.

A. there are shops or stores which do data recovery..
also try accessing the pen drive through msdos..

START>>run>>type "cmd">>
type "cd\" with out the quotation mark

then type the drive letter of your pen drive
for example it is on drive F:, type "f:"

then type "dir"

the you will see now if the files/folders are still there..


also try scanning it for viruses..
you may have a virus infection on your pen drive which is hindering you from accessing it..


Can anyone tell me how to fix a pen drive and recover the data if got burn by a computer?

A. 1. Do not save any new file to pen drive.
2. Connect your pen drive to computer. You should see pen drive shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
