Q. destructive recovery or backup recovery. It wouldn't let you deselect destructive so I selected backup as well and it deleted all my files! I was afraid that's what would happen but I didn't really have any other choice. Is there any way I can retrieve my old files from before it crashed? Also, even though it has started from scratch it still says that my computer is running very low on disk room? what does this mean and what can I do to fix it. Thank You!
A. I have same question to you.
My computer kept crashing with illegal operation errors.
At first I thought it was a virus, but my antivirus wasn't able to find anything wrong.
I ran your software and found over 300 errors!!!
After it corrected them, my computer was no longer crashing!
Thank for saving me a lot of time and headache! You fixed my PC when nothing else did!
fails it is time to reformat your hard drive and wipe your pc clean, this can take hours and you will probably need the data recovery disc that you should have got when you bought the pc.

What is the percentage of heroin addicts making a full recovery?
Q. I'm working on a research paper and I found information about how to recover, the facilities people can go to but I can't find an specific percentage of people that make a full recovery or the percentage of the ones that don't make it.
A. Yeah there isn't an accurate statistic for that. Some government agencies or rehab groups might claim to know, but to have an accurate statistic you'd have to get 1: the numbers of people who are on heroin, and 2: the numbers of people who have quit. People who use drugs aren't going to be telling the government about it, and there are a lot of people who quit without the assistance of rehab centers so no data would exist for them either. People who use heroin are not going to be telling survey takers about it, its only the ones who get caught by the law that we know about. From personal experience I can tell you, getting arrested and forced into a rehab clinic doesn't make you want to stop, so the percentages that the clinics proclaim aren't going to be accurate. I think that most users end up quitting completely off the record (like me), so no one would know about it and there would be no statistic.
How does one become a computer data recovery specialist?
Q. Is there degree for this?
A. There is no data recovery technician degree. There are no certifications or exams. But, there are some classes you can take (for example, from Scott @ myharddrivedied.com or the pros at deepspar.com). I think the best way to learn is by jumping in head first and start doing it yourself. Find bad drives at recycling centers or on craigslist or ebay. Read forums (like the hddguru.com forum) and buy professional data recovery tools (some come with manuals which help explain how hard drive's work and how they can be repaired). It will take lots of time and energy. The only other way to learn is getting a job at a data recovery shop as an apprentice or intern, but I'm sure these opportunities are few and far between. Really, reading up on hddguru is the best start with lots of helpful info for newbies (even if the people there aren't the nicest). Hope this helps!
