Where does the formatted information on a sd card go?
Q. Yesterday I had a problem getting my computer to read the sd card, so I went out and bought an usb sd card reader. I managed to format the sd card, but where does the formatted information go? The sd card had a video on it so I thought it would be in Videos or Recently Changed, but it wasn't in either. My computer runs on Windows Vista. Please help.
Aw shenanigans. Thank you for the quick replies.

A. nowhere, formatting/delete doesn't really delete the data. If just tell the computer that you can overwrite that sector on card. Unless your overwrite some data one your SD card, the data of the video is still there. However you can't access it since it is formatted.

You need to get one of those data recovery software to recover the video file from the SD card
