It recovers data very efficiently if not overwritten. u can connect ur sd card to the computer and can recover the data with the help of this tool.
Though in free version it only recovers the 5 files but atleast u can get 5 of ur important files back

A. Hi! you can recover deleted files, how ever old, as long as they arent overwritten... if you added any data on the drive or partition where from you deleted the photos, you cant recover them since they re overwritten...
When you delete a file, windows assume the space is free to be overwritten, and the file can be recovered as long as new data isnt added on the space...
Try Photo recovery tool, a part of test disk...
