How to recover photos and documents if they are not backed up on your pc after a system recovery?
Q. my hp pc automatically did a system recovery and none of my photos and documents were backed up and the computer restarted as if it was brand new! is there anyway to get my pictures and documents back? I've been crying for the past 3 hours because all of the baby pics and vids of my baby brother were on my pc and the computer just deleted everything! PLEASE HELP!!! thank you

see if you can go back to previous settings before system restore
if that don't work

search and download
pandora recovery
(best do this on a different computer)
burn to cd
put cd in your computer and run it see if it can recover the lost files
if that don't work

take the computer or hard drive to a computer tech see if they can recover the lost data.
DO NOT RUN DEFRAG OR SCAN DISK AT ALL UNTILL YOU GET YOUR FILES BACK.
if the restore don't work pandora should. its a really good program and is good for data recovery
may I make one suggestion, once you get your files back you may want to invest in an external hard drive. they go for about 100 bucks and well worth it. and use that for data back up. Nero is a great program for edit videos and backing up files

How can I recover data/pictures deleted from my mac?
Q. I emptied my trash without knowing there were files I still wanted in there. I've tried to use Stellar Phoenix data recovery, but when i run it, it doesn't find my hard drive to search for data recovery. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and it doesn't seem to install properly. I'm hesitant to pay a lot of money to download software that I'm not sure will work, any suggestions? thanks
