What is the best data recovery software for mac?

Q. Can anyone give information about good data recovery program for Mac OS.

A. You can try to recover your deleted files with Disk Drill data recovery software.

I had a virus on my macbook that I guess deleted some important files. I managed to remove the virus but the files were, of course, still missing. I got Disk Drill off the internet and found the missing files in a matter of minutes. I managed to get them all back with no problems and even find some older ones I did not know were deleted.

How do I recover corrupt images from a cd or dvd?
Q. I made a backup copy of all my important files including all my pictures (wedding and honeymoon) and now I am not able to open them. Some of the word/excel files open however the jpg files do not open. I am able to see the icons and the pics still have the file names. However when I click on the icons to open the pics, I get an error message saying it may be corrupt or data is missing.
My husband tried to run some data recovery programs on it but it did not work. The pictures are priceless and I am willing to pay someone to get my honeymoon pics back.
I fear that the pics may have been infected with a virus before I made the backup copy.
If someone can please help I would be very thankful.

Has anyone any ideas about how to reveal some hidden data after removing Windows Recovery virus?
Q. I managed to remove the virus with the aid of bleeping computer. The bleeping computer screen advised me to use Unhide, exe which I did. No luck. It told me to temporarily turn off any security/ virus protection I had and run Unhide again, which I did.
The virus appears to be gone and now I can see my desktop again. However, My desktop background is still missing and , more importantly, my start menu list of programmes is invisible. Has anyone any suggestions about how I can get these back?
