The latest data indicates unemployment hasn't turned at all, and some media sources have finally been honest enough to identify that unemployment has increased more than 25% under Obama's failed leadership.
Since May, 2010, BLS statistics indicate the economy added just 426,000 jobs over a 12 month period. With estimates of 1.8 to 2 million new workers added to the work force annually from high school and college graduates, as well as newly age appropriate workers, without including the next million-plus legal immigrants granted visas and official entry to the U.S. mostly for employment-based reasons, the reality of the current employment scene should be recognizable to all. We've continued to lose ground with job losses, and are at record high levels of weeks unemployed as American workers now average almost 42 weeks without work following separation from employment. Thereafter, shocking numbers of the unemployed are simply purged from inclusion in BLS statistics to arrive at the media released 9.1% U3 rate or 15.4% U6 real unemployment rate reported for June. The highest number of aliens apprehended for deportation was recorded in the year 2000 with a total of 1,814,729 Border Patrol and ICE administrative arrests. While the first seven years under the Bush Administration failed to address illegal immigration at a level reaching what the American public has demanded, the gradual falloff to the high 900,000's, and average of almost 1.2 million deportations per year under W dwarfed what became an immediate cessation of arrests under Obama and his Mexican vote hungry Democratic Administration. 2009 saw Obama's first year figure drop to 613,003 deportation arrests, barely a third of what was accomplished at the start of the decade.
