How to recover windows if the HDD is damaged?

Q. Hello,

Windows Vista came with my laptop. I have the tag with the key on the back of the laptop. I have created the recovery discs. If my HDD will fail i will definetly loose my personal data (which i'm transferring on an external HDD), but will i lalso oose the operating system?

If i buy a new HDD, will i be able to install the operating system from the discs that i have created or those discs are just for failure of software and will not work on new HDD?

A. your recovery disks, is your operating system.

if you want to see something that put your laptop on steroids get an ssd its a hard drive made out of ram, they are expensive and small.
youtube ssd sometime. (battery will last much longer too) and it wont break due to shaking the laptop or anything like that no moving parts.

but since your getting a new drive anyhow, you can use your original hard drive and plug it into an external usb case.
and use the original drive as an external hard drive.

even if by some freak incident the recovery disks wont install windows, you can always plug it back in.

I want to get files of my old broken hard drive, anyone know a reliable cheap data recovery firm in the UK?
Q. Basically it stopped being recognised by my mac. I took it to my local computer shop which had a good look at it and said that the problem was between the caddy and the hard drive but that the hard drive itself was fine. I have kept the hard drive in dry place for about 2 year and now have money to try and recover the contents.

A. this helped me to recover my files

Why do my videos stall whenever I move the on the screen?
Q. I love using Firefox, but lately whenever I'm watching a video on Youtube or Netflix and I scroll down, or switch tabs or whatever then switch right back to the video, even if its just the slightest thing, the visual just stalls. The audios fine, but the video itself will just stop playing. Any ideas?

A. Hello, Your computer may need general maintenance, this should help.

Delete all unwanted files and free Disk Space. Make sure at least 15% of your disk place should be empty. The computer needs this space...

Check for viruses and other malware, clean them if found. Scan you computer with up to date anti virus program.

Clean fan with compressed air, and make sure it has air flow.

Click start>Run.. Type msconfig>enter>Start Up. Uncheck the boxes for the programs that you think you may not use often

Increase the RAM of your system. If you have vista or windows 7 you could use ram boost.

Back up your data and make sure you have a set of recovery/reinstall disks in case your hard drive goes out...
Down load and install this program it is free http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner this is a good cleaner...
