Q. I have two external hard drives and thought it's damaged. i need someone to help me find a place where they can retrieve these data 'cause i have some priceless photos and video footage stored in it. i don't mind paying the cost for the work done. thank you.
A. Hi,
Are the drives themselves actually damaged or is it just the external caddy?
If the drives are OK then just buy a new caddy and put them in.
If the drives themselves are damaged then you will need a data recovery specialist and that will be VERY expensive.
To find the nearest in your area try a google search.
Or there is some recovery software available on the net just perform a search.

What is a good hard drive recovery center?
Q. My laptop's hard drive took a dump. Looking for a good hard drive recovery center to recover ONE file. That is all I need. My Firefox bookmarks file. How expensive could it be? I know it could run into the thousands for a huge hdd, but my drive was only 120GB's. Please advise.
Thanx!
Thanx!
A. you can try to recover your data with data recovery software, it's a cheaper solution and you do not need to reply on other people.
I used to use this program to recover my data

what is the difference between recovery and operating system softwares?
Q. I have an old desktop computer which I bought back in 2004 and it's currently infected with virus and I've been told that the best thing to do would be buy a recovery disc (restore disc) and that should take care of everything and put it back to the way it was and someone else told me I can also buy an operating system like windows 7 and that will also fix it.
A. what they are trying to tell you is that reinstalling your operating system (windows xp, vista, win7) will set everything to factory default. if you want to do that you will lose all your data on that computer, on top of that it wont be cheap to buy a new operating system like windows 7. if you want to use someones recovery disc that you know will let you borrow it you can reinstall the operating system that way, you dont have to buy one.
