Q. I have an external hard drive that all of a sudden will not show up on the computer, it never got banged around or anything. I have alot of files on there that I really want, but I see that most data recovery services cost around $500 to get your stuff off.
I'm wondering if theres a way to have the hard drive fixed by a computer shop of some sort, or if that would even be cheaper?
I'm just looking for a positive answer here haha.
thanks.

A. Did you try it on another PC? Maybe it is not the drive that has the problem but maybe your USB ports or something on your PC has a problem.
How can i retrieve the data from two external hard drives for the cheapest cost?
Q. I have two external hard drives and thought it's damaged. i need someone to help me find a place where they can retrieve these data 'cause i have some priceless photos and video footage stored in it. i don't mind paying the cost for the work done. thank you.
A. Hi,
Are the drives themselves actually damaged or is it just the external caddy?
If the drives are OK then just buy a new caddy and put them in.
If the drives themselves are damaged then you will need a data recovery specialist and that will be VERY expensive.
To find the nearest in your area try a google search.
Or there is some recovery software available on the net just perform a search.
