How can I recover my data on a formatted disk?
Q. Can i recover my data on a formatted disk? If yes , then how? Answer me please!

A. the instructions are given below just follow them
Understand that formatting the hard drive does not remove the data from your computer. As long as nothing else is written over the top of the data, it is still available and can be recovered. It is simply invisible, so to speak. You should, however, make an attempt to recover the data as soon as possible, to help prevent the space from being used by another file or program.

Step
2Evaluate the options that are available to you from a data recovery software. There are a large number of software products available that will recover the data from a formatted hard drive. Uneraser is one of the most popular, but there are many available with prices ranging from free to expensive. Doing an online search for hard drive recovery or data recovery software will give you a large number of options to choose from.

Step
3Download and install the software that you selected in the previous step. If you selected a software package that costs money, you will need to pay before you can download the program. Otherwise, follow the product instructions for how to install the recovery software onto your computer. This is normally an automated process that requires little interaction from the user, if any at all.

Step
4Open the software and follow the on-screen instructions to recover the data from your hard drive. At this point it is basically up to the software to do all of the work. As long as no other files, including the data recovery software you just downloaded, have rewritten the hard drive space, you should be able to recover what was previously there.

Why does my lap top restart unexpectedly?
Q. I have an HP lap top that I (my parents) bought a couple of months ago.

I've seen my lap top unexpectedly restart and show a blue screen for about 2 seconds. When I log in to my account, it gives me a message saying "windows has recovered from an unexpected error" or something along those lines.

I have up-to-date anti-virus software and I don't see any problems... I've noticed this happens rarely when I click enter in the adress bar to get to a website.

Any help please?

A. If your computer always restart, There are some reason:
I. It's Hot in There
Sometimes this can be caused by an overheating situation. Itunes, RealPlayer, Windows Media player, etc. require a lot of processing power to decompress and decode music files, which can cause the processor or hard drive to get hot.
Memory Fails Me...
If you determine that overheating is not the problem, the most likely suspect is bad memory.
II. Don't Do Me Any Favors
There's a setting buried in Windows XP that tells your computer to restart when a system error occurs. you turn off that option, you may solve your automatic reboot problem.
1) Click Start, then open Control Panel
2) Click Performance and Maintenance
3) Click System
4) Click on the Advanced Tab
5) Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section
6) Uncheck Automatically Restart in the System failure section
Note that this may prevent the system from restarting, but it can also mask the true problem.
The most common cause of computer restarting is a corrupt registry.
Most likely your registry is bloated and overstuffed with an assortment of useless pieces of data. The operating system while running your computer has to pick its way through all this excess material. There will be bits of programs which were not completely uninstalled, parts of programs which were never completely installed, fragments of miscellaneous data, useless drivers, and a multitude of other bits and pieces.
The answer is to clean your registry and remove all the material which is not needed.

III. Computer Restarts After Download?

This can also be a virus or spyware problem. I suggest you go through your Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs list and remove any programs you don't need, then run thorough anti-virus and anti-spyware scans. See:
