Can you use data recovery software to get deleted pictures off a camera phone?
Q. I have a samsung sch-u420 phone. Someone told me if I hooked my cell up to the computer I may can recover deleted pictures. Is this true? Has anyone ever done this before?

A. Yep hook up your camera to your computer:

FREE PHOTO RECOVERY
As its name suggests, this is a specialised tool for recovering deleted JPEG image files from memory cards or from flash drives. That doesnt mean its complicated though, in fact its really easy to use. Run the program and it will automatically detect any cards that are attached to the system. Select the one you want to recover from and click Search, the program will then take a few minutes to scan the card and show you a preview of the images it finds. You then have the option to see the images at a larger size before attempting to recover them. It can recover images from cards that have been formatted as well as getting back deleted files. The program is free for non-commercial use and can be downloaded from:

How do i fix external drive that shows up as not Initialized and unallocated ?
Q. The external drive won't show up on my computer but it does show up on the device manager and when I go to Disk Management it shows up as Not Initialized and unallocated.... how do i fix this ? can i still recover my data ?

A. Since it shows up in Disk Management it's likely your data can be recovered using software tools.

Recuva is a free data recovery tool that you can try it works well.

R-Studio and GetDataBack are also good but non-free.

Another option is FreeDataRecovery.us they use a bootCD to connect to you over the internet and perform the recovery remotely. It's a novel approach and they work off of donations.

How can I run all programs from a partition of my drive?
Q. I have a TB of memory on my computer, but it is partitioned. I have a data partitioned which has about 700GB left on it, and then I have all of my programs on a full C drive. I want to run all of my programs off of my D drive. Is there a way to do this without crashing?
I have two OS's running on my computer. That is why there is a data partition.

A. Although it is very possible and people do all the time , there is a fundamental floor.

It is just fine to place what ever you want in your "D" drive pictures, videos, music etc

BUT if you install programs to this location and you have any sort of problem that requires you to do a system restore to a "much earlier point" as "only" the "C" drive is only ever restored you will end up with broken links and program files full of junk.

Only the "C" drive being restored can be used to an advantage as every thing in the "D" drive will remain even if a factory restore is made.

This being the case i would recommend expanding your "C" drive instead.

EASEUS partition master. 4.1.1 home edition (free)

http://www.partition-tool.com/

Easy to use drag " D" smaller then drag "C" into the newly available space.

PS Do not go with any answers that promote removing your
partition completely apart from slowing down your computer this will totally screw your inbuilt (manufacturers) recovery software, may be not today but one day you may need it.
