Q. I'm trying to get an internship this summer, specifically dealing with computers, in the field of networking, or support/help desk, malware recovery, even something as simple as data entry
it needs to be paid because i have bills that need to be paid off
if anyone had any leads, or any kind of resource besides the obvious like monster and careerbuilder it would be greatly appreciated

Windows Vista "System Recovery" issues!! Please help!?
Q. I'm using another computer while I try to find a way to get my other one fixed. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545. When it turns on it loads like normal with the Inspiron sign then it has a blue screen with a lot of numbers and then it goes to system recovery. If I try to restore it to a different point in time it takes REALLY long and never ends. Every-time I turn on the computer it happens again and again. What should I do?! It hasn't been working since December, 10th and I am seriously at this point, desperate to fix it.
ROADBLOCKS: warranty expired and Dell people won't help -_-
Expensive to bring to someone to fix it
Don't want to restore to factory version because I have a lot of things in it.

A. Get a SATA docking station and connect to another PC to save your files...

USB port needs a driver?
Q. I have a Toshiba satellite L305-S5947 (laptop). Whenever I connect something into a USB port, power will transfer to the device, but it will not connect. I think I need a new driver for my ports. ALSO I cannot find anywhere I can download a new driver. I cannot find the actual manufacturers website, so what do I do. If anyone can find the correct page and a driver download for my USB that would be awesome.

hmmm ever considered looking at toshiba.com? :-P
I did check for usb-drivers and i didn't find any. If you didn't upgrade the hardware of the laptop and use the operating system that was pre-installed you shouldn't need any drivers unless maybe for very specific usages but not for usb. Probably usb-support is already dealt with by the chipsetdriver and the internal windows drivers. Hardware drivers are normally necesarry when installing a new operating system, or, In some cases, a newer driver may solve problems but i doubt that's the case here. You could try to update the chipset driver, but that's a longshot i think.
Read the user-manual for any references to usb:

Check the bios-setup if usb is activated. Try different devices on different usb-ports. If nothing helps you could try to restore the laptop to it's factorysettings (when available use a recovery partition or recovery diskset to restore the original installation, but save any user-date you want to keep to an external medium first!, because all user-data in the system-partition (c:) wil be lost after the restore)
There seems to be a toshiba diagnostics utility maybe try it.
Another thing you might try is upgrading (flashing) the bios to the newest version, but this is also a very much longshot (i very much doubt if it wil help), and a risky procedure. So be think/prepare carefully before attempting this.
If you don't have windows 7 yet you could use the opportunity to upgrade to windows 7. I would buy a FULL (better then upgrade) & OEM (cheaper then retail) version and do a clean install to avoid any complications that may arrise when doing an upgrade install. Toshiba provides an "toshiba software installer for windows 7" that wil automatically download needed software/drivers to maximize functionality. it can be downloaded here:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2324050&rpn=PSLB8U&modelFilter=L305-S5947&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663
If after a clean windows 7 installation and a successfull software/driver installation using the utility mentioned above the usb-ports still don't work maybe there is a hardware problem, but it's hard to be conclusive about that, and it would be wrong to assume to quickly there is a hardware-problem.
A new clean/custom windows installation would also be a good opportunity to set up an effective systembackup-strategy as i describe here:
