Can I recover data from a hard drive partition at a later date if I carry on using it?

Q. One of my hard drive partitions has crashed with half the files becoming corrupt but half still remaining and working fine. I have been told in the past when recovering data not to continue writing to the drive.

Can I still use the working files and recover the corrupt data later or should I not use the partition at all. Could I transfer the working files on there to another partition or would this also ruin a recovery process?

A. NO! Do not touch the hard drive if you are trying to recover files. Even if it is a different partition, files that need to be recovered can be deleted by using it. Use another computer and download a Linux Live CD (detailed in this Lifehacker blog: http://lifehacker.com/software/disk-recovery/geek-to-live--rescue-files-with-a-boot-cd-192982.php )

What if Romney won the election and we had huge recovery in the next three months?
Q. like Romney wins in Nov. and we keep seeing the unemployment rate drop like a rock...

.4 a month... unemployment would be in the 6s by the time Mitt took office? lol...

let me guess... you would give Mitt all the credit even though the trend started in September?

A. Just because cons donât like the numbers doesnât mean they arenât true.

Gallup: The Unemployment Rate is Collapsing
http://www.businessinsider.com/gallup-the-unemployment-rate-is-collapsing-2012-10

U.S. unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, is 7.3% in mid-October, down considerably from 7.9% at the end of September and at a new low since Gallup began collecting employment data in January 2010. Gallup's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is 7.7%, also down from September. October's adjusted mid-month measure is also more than a percentage point lower than October 2011.

But...

Letâs put the blame where it belongs. There are studies out there showing that, without Republican obstruction in Congress, the unemployment rate would already be below 7%, which would mean the deficit would also be much smaller than it is, currently.

Data recovery after formatting from NTFS to FAT32?
Q. I had a harddisk with NTFS file system which I accidentally formatted to FAT32, and in the process lost all my data. Is it possible to recover the data once the file system is changed? Any suggestion for a good tool?

A. Formatting or deleting won't make the data in computer hard drive erased permanently.

Those deleted data is still stored on the computer, it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NTFS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those data are not overwritten by new data, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.
