Q. I accidentally completely erased everything from my computer. I tried to do a system restore and restored it to factory settings. It is a compaq presario c500. I came across a product called search and recover, but I do not know if this is what I need. I also came across a product online called ontrack data recovery which sounds ok, but costs an arm and a leg. Is there anything out there that can help me get all my important information back?

Q. I took my Acer laptop to my local computer repair service. They attempted to try to recover the data off the hard drive from it because it failed and I need a professional data recovery service. I want to know how much it is going to cost me as well. I hope the service is near my area zip code 67880. This never happened to me before but I really need the data off of it.

What are some good companies to recover data from hard disk?
Q. I need a data recovery from my SATA hard drive that failed. Can't get data back. Had a recovery, but some important (sentimental) video files were not on recovery. I think it's still there on the failed disk that I removed but kept.
Question is, are there any reputable companies that I can send my disk and have them recover all the data on that disk? Especially pictures and videos. I figure it'll cost a lot, but I want the data if it's still there.
