A. You can try Windows Home server, they have sorted out all the bugs they had in their initial release, you can try to install Windows Home server with Power pack 3 or else you can also use NAS.

The short answer is no. Youâre going to need to use your backup discs that you created before you installed Windows 7 and use the recovery discs for your operating system.

Do I have to completely backup all my computer data to upgrade from windows vista to windows 7?

I have heard about some people, especially those who were still on windows xp, having to completely backup all their data like pictures, music, documents, programs, onto an external hard drive when they upgrade to windows 7 because the upgrade reformats and erases everything from the harddrive to upgrade. Will I have to do the same if I upgrade from windows vista to windows 7?
A. You should reformat your hard drive to give your computer a fresh start when installing a new operating system regardless. You only wanna backup that which is difficult to re-attain or critical data that you cannot afford to lose. Personally for backups and data recovery I use www.backupspace.com It was really easy to set up, the trial is really really cheap and then you'll never have to worry again =D
