Is it better to use data recovery softwares or should directly consult data recovery companies?

Q. There are many data recovery companies that offers expensive data recovery services and there are various freeware and affordable softwares in the net. What should a layman prefer?

A. the first thing you should do is to stop putting any new data on your target drive.
then you can try some freeware to see if the data you wanted is still in. and preview to check the recovery quality.
at last you can buy a full version (of course the best on in your opinion after comparing) to recover your data.
Here I recommend one recovery software that I used few days ago.It is on sale-50% discount

If you can not see your data through freeware, you don't need buy a full version. Going to consult data recovery companies is recommended.

which is the best professional data recovery software?
Q. i have use some freewares with mordant success in recovering my files. now i am looking i buying a good data recovery software the kind which the professionals use.

A. I've used Recover My Files (think I paid about $29 at BestBuy a few years ago for it) with good success on a drive I had formatted but ended up missing one file in my backup prior to doing so. I'm not sure how it compares to what professional recovery companies use, but it worked well for me. If you are wanting to recover for a "dead" (non-spinning) drive, I'm not sure what to recommend.

How does file recovery software work & any good ones?
Q. How does file recovery software work? The ones that can actually recover from formatted drives (whether OS or External)

Any good recommendation?
I have tried Pareto Logic and it is REALLY good for even reformatted ones. (I tried with the demo scanning)

If you know any good file recovery software for scanning external HD, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

Another question is how does file recovery software work? I have tried a few demos and only Pareto Logic can recover reformatted files. Thanks~!

A. When you delete files the data itself isnât deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.

If the deleted files are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just donât save any new files to it.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some file recovery software. Recommended asoftech recovery as it saved my life many times.
