Can anyone recommend a data recovery service in New York City?

Q. I am looking for a good data recovery service (preferably in Manhattan) that is neither wildly expensive (preferably below $400), that will not destroy my hard drive. I've heard that bad data recovery services can actually make it impossible for you to ever get your data back. I don't want to lose my data to inexperienced people. Thanks for any advice.

Also, if there is a company that is really good and affordable that I can mail my Hard Drive to, then that might work too.

Thanks!

A. You might want to consider this alternative to having someone else do the work:
If you've got a lot of valuable files that must be recovered, have a look @ 'SpinRite' from GRC.
Does total disk maintenance; checks cable interfaces; many deep disk checks, recovers data & fixes HDD errors; etc.
THE industry standard.
About $90 US; money back if not satisfied.
Money back if not satisfied.
Google for reviews.
Well worth the money.

Works on Mac drives: use Spinrite first, then migrate drive & use the Mac recovery utility on the repaired data.
Does not work with newer "solid state" drives.

What company has the cheapest data recovery rates? What is the avg starting price for a 500 gig drive?
Q. I have a portable 500gig WD drive which just crashed on me this morning! Talk about an unhappy thanks giving! What would be the starting prices for data recovery? What does it depend on?

A. For a drive that size. About 1000 dollars plus other fees.

My computer crashed and it keeps resetting before it gets to Windows. Can i recover all the files i had?
Q. Whenever i start up my computer it asks me if i want to start up Windows in Safe Mode or with the settings that worked last time. it doesn't matter what option i choose, my computer will just restart and ask me again
I had almost 10000 songs on my computer that i collected over the years and i've looked into data recovery companies but they're too expensive. what's the best course of action? Is there any software that can help?

A. ya. i use this program, it is very in depth at recovering data. the trial should let u recover the data. burn it to a disk.
